Electrofishing equipment
What's electric fishing?
Electrofishing, also known as pulse fishing, is a fishing-Method in which electrical current used to catch fish. With the help of an electric fishing device, a Direct current or pulse current is passed through the water between the catch anode and the cathode, which is pulled behind it. If used correctly, the fish in the circuit will now swim to the Fang anode, where they can be collected.
Electric fishing devices from Bretschneider Spezialelektronik are built according to IEC and VDE regulations and are also tested by TÜV upon completion. The electrical construction is in protection class II. This means that all live parts are double insulated to ensure the best possible personal protection.
All device types work with direct current and can be switched to pulse current. The pulse shape causes good galvanotaxis (rapid rise within 2 ms, exponential fall of the voltage curve). All Bretschneider devices are manufactured according to IEC 60335. They are short-circuit and overload safe, reverse polarity protected and equipped with battery voltage monitoring. When the dead man's switch is activated, a warning tone signals the danger potential of the active device - i.e. "electrode under voltage".
The dead man button provides additional safety, which must be pressed so that current flows. In the event of a dangerous situation, the device's outputs are switched off and the current flow is thus interrupted. Another safety precaution is a built-in tilt sensor, which also interrupts the flow of electricity in the event of an unforeseeable situation and the device is tilted.
Each device undergoes extensive mechanical and electrical testing. A detailed instruction manual is included with the quality product. We offer a two-year guarantee on our devices!
